About Us
Hello! My name is Wendy Salin and I am the lead teacher and co-owner of Morning Star Christian Preparatory along with my mother. I am a veteran teacher with 20 years experience in the private and public school system.
I began my career teaching high school ESL and English for four years. I then decided to switch to elementary school and taught grades Pre-K, Kindergarten, 2nd and 3rd grade over the next 16 years in Mesquite ISD.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and am certified to teach all grade levels Pre-K through 5th grade and 6-12th grade English and ESL. I am also a certified school counselor with a master's degree in education. My love for children, passion for Christ and education led me to open Morning Star with my mother.
Hi! My name is Christine LoBasso. I am a homeschool teacher and co-owner of Morning Star. My experience is with homeschooling at various ages. I am excited to share my love of God with your children, our students. My daughter and I were led by the Lord to open this school as an amazing alternative to public school.
